[va-bird] Warblers, YB cuckoo, etc. in Staunton

This morning I found an excellent birding spot close to the heart of
Staunton: East Beverly St. just north of the Virginia School for Deaf and
Blind. The Virginia Dept. of Forestry owns a plot of land there, and I
saw:

scarlet tanager (M)
blackpoll warblers (FOS!)
magnolia warbler (M)
redstart (M)
E.W. pewee

red-eyed vireo
red-bellied WP
downy WPs (M&F)
yellow-rumped warbler (M)
black-throated blue warbler (F)

wood thrush
Swainson's thrush
yellow-billed cuckoo (FOS!)
cedar waxwings
house wren (FOS)

plus many catbirds and the usual suspects. I also heard a white-eyed vireo
and a black-throated green warbler. Not bad for in-town birding! I get
jealous reading all the reports about Monticello Park in Alexandria, where
I used to live, so this is some consolation.
