We led a field trip to Chincoteague this past weekend for a group of birders
from the NY Federation of Bird Clubs.  Had some nice birds and our
"northern" friends were happy to see some of our specialties like, Blue
Grosbeak, Brown Headed Nuthatch and others like Orchard Oriole, Black
Vulture, Yellow breasted Chat, Yellow billied Cuckoo and we were all excited
about the Gull billed Tern.
We also added with a side trip to Blackwater things like Great Blue Heron,
Tundra Swan, Mute Swan, American Kestrel, Merlin, Turkey, Caspian Tern, Ruby
throated Hummingbird, Red bellied Woodpecker, Horned Lark, Tufted Titmouse,
Eastern Bluebird, Red eyed Vireo, Prothonotary Warbler, Worm eating Warbler,
and Summer Tanager.
