Five members of the Rockingham Bird Club birded Long Run Hollow and Slate Lick
in western Rockingham Co. this AM.
Some of our best warbler sightings were Nashville, Hooded, Chestnut-sided,
Black-throated Green and Worm-eating at Long Run Hollow. Also saw three male
Rose-breasted Grosbeaks together, Indigo Buntings, S. Tanagers and Wood Thrush
and heard a couple Grouse drumming. At and near Slate Lick we had La.
Waterthrush, Yellow Warbler, Palm Warbler and Hummingbird.
