Hello everyone,
I decided to check the Amherst Co. lakes this morning in between the rain
showers. Not many breaks at all. Got home soaked.
At Mill Creek Lake I saw:
Common Loons- 78
Bonaparte's Gull- 10 ( 6 in breeding plumage)
Lessr Scaup- 31( 14 m 19 F)
Ruddy Ducks- 17(1M 10F)
Osprey- 2
DC Cormorants- 45
Blue Winged Teal- (3M 2F)
Solitary Sandpiper- 1
Thrashers Lake:
Common Loon-2
Red Breasted Mergansers- 7 F
Stonehouse Lake:
R B Gull-1 adult
Herring Gull- 1 Imm.
At the pond behind Walmart in Mad. Hgts there were 2 Green Herons. I hope
the breed and nest. If so this would be the 3 year of having young.
