[va-bird] Palm Warbler - Monticello Park - 04/03/07 ~9am

I was hoping to get a glimpse of the Louisiana Waterthrush at Monticello
Park (Beverly Dr, Alexandria) this morning, but I didn't have luck with
that one.
On the happy side though, the WINTER WREN is still scurrying around the
creekside, and today Paul Kane helped me confirm a PALM WARBLER, wagging
away at us (at the creek at the beginning of the park, in/around the
brush).
The normal suspects were also present; NUTHACHES, RED BELLIED WOODPECKERs,
DOWNY WOODPECKERs, TOWHEEs, lots of WHITE THROATED SPARROWS & TITMICE,
etc.
I stayed only for a brief pass of the park, but after the Palm sighting,
Paul was taking a walk to see what else there might be. If nothing else,
the weather is perfect for a nice walk!
