Hello everyone,
I visited the Amherst Co. lakes yesterday and today 3-31-07 and
4-1-07. They were both good days. At Mill Creek Lake I had:
Common Loons - 8 in breeding plumage
Bonaparte's Gull - 33 some were in breeding plumage.
D.C. Cormorants- 34
Am Wigeon - 17 ( 11M 6F)
Coot - 28
Bald Eagle - 1 Imm.
Blue-winged Teal - 6 ( 4M 2F)
Green-winged Teal -(1M 1F)
The Red-shouldered Hawk that's nesting in my back yard was calling
this morning. The nest is getting harder to see because of the trees getting
leaves.
There was nothing at the other 2 lakes.
