All,

Birded around Rockhingham county this morning briefly stopping at local 
ponds to check for Ducks, most of whom appeared to not appear. Pipits and 
Osprey were both first for the year birds for me. Pipits and Snipe were seen 
at pond across from  Green Valley Books Auction. Vireos were seen at Madison 
Run. I didn't catch the Louisanna Waterthrush that Greg mentioned in 
previous post but I ran out of time and did not get to hike far at all. 
There is an interesting wetlands nearby on the road leading into Madison Run 
but though it looked inviting with catails and lilly pads I didn't see 
anything other than a few Red-winged Blackbirds and some Downy woodpeckers.
