I conducted my weekly survey along the Hike-Bike Trail this morning. Despite
the rain, the walk yielded 2 Red-breasted Nuthatches (both seen and heard) in
the Virginia Pines in back of the maintenance building and a Wild Turkey in
full display in front of the building. A Pine Warbler also was singing near the
maintenance building.
I noted Song, Swamp, and singing Field Sparrows at several locations and a
flock of 33 Rusty Blackbirds in the Main Meadow.
