[va-bird] Spring is here

Today , I heard the Great-crested Flycatcher call, but did not see.
I had a pair last year, so I will keep looking. The Phoebe is back and
calling. Also have a pair of nest-building Bluebirds in the nest box. They eat
the
berries of the sumac tree, so a good reason to keep it around. They also go on
the suet cage. They are quite tolerant of purple finches and Junco's , if they
land in the tree behind their house.
I have no starlings or house sparrows here on the mountain, so I hope
all goes well with the breeding.The Wood thrush is back also. I have not heard
the woodcock this year.
Heard spring peepers last week. Had two Ravens fly through the yard, calling.
