[va-bird] 5 Species of Wabler - Breaks Park - Buchanan Co., Virginia

Virginia Birders,
When Michelle and I headed over to the Breaks Park we were expecting maybe
one new migrant species - we never dreamed we would find five species of
warbler on April 2nd. Signs of spring were everywhere as the Sarvis was
blooming in the gorge and wildflowers were at every turn in the trail. At no
point during the day could we not hear a Blue-headed Vireo and we finally just
marked our list as 20+. We also found two Ruby-crowned Kinglets among the
Golden-crowned Kinglets. A quartet of Tree Swallows wheeled and turned at the
entrance of the park. A Raven was doing barrel rolls out over the gorge -
clearly showing off and having fun. For those interested, here is a link with
video captures of the warblers and some trip pictures:

Don't forget the Breaks Park is the location of the 2006 VSO Annual Meeting
next month.
