On the one occasion I was able to watch the skies for hawks this afternoon I
saw a couple of BROADWINGS and a NORTHERN HARRIER heading up the Blue Ridge, to
the Northeast. There were also 3 RAVENS and plenty of TURKEY and BLACK VULTURES.
There are still about 18 PURPLE FINCHES at the abbey feeders, as of this
morning.
