[va-bird] BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER - WARBLER ROAD

Hawkwatching at Harvey's Knob today was a bust so I decided to try my luck
with an afternoon run down Warbler Road in Botetourt County. Birds were very
scarce as I had expected, but I did manage to find a singing BLACK-THROATED
GREEN
WARBLER approx. 2.5 miles before getting to North Creek. The only other
warblers were a YELLOW-RUMPED and a LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH. A morning run would
likely produce a few more new arrivals. A few JUNCOS have made it back up to
the
mountain. Also saw a HERMIT THRUSH. I ended the day with two PURPLE MARTINS
over the James River bridge.
