[va-bird] Early morning Reston Birding

On the way to work this morning, I stopped at the Sunrise Valley
wetlands mitigation park in Reston near Sunrise Valley's junction with
Monroe for about 45 minutes of birding. The place was noisy; mostly
Canada geese, common grackles, redwings and cowbirds but there was much
more. 
 
Great blue heron- 1 high overhead
Canada goose-3-4 nests here
Mallard- 3 males only
Kildeer-2-3 in marshy shallows
Mourning dove
Rock pigeon
Common flicker- pr, courtship behavior
Eastern phoebe-2
American crow-many; some carrying nest materials
Northern rough-winged swallow-3; my first of year
Barn swallow- 2; my first of year
Tufted titmouse
Carolina chickadee
Carolina wren
American robin
Northern mockingbird
Brown thrasher- 2; singing low in shrubs
Yellow-rumped warbler
Eastern towhee
White-throated sparrow
White-crowned sparrow- 1; moving through quickly 
Song sparrow
Swamp sparrow- 4-5 in cattails, rushes
Dark-eyed junco
Brown-headed cowbird
Red-winged blackbird
Common grackle
House finch
American goldfinch
House sparrow
