VA Birders,
This morning, Monday, April 4, Pat Blyer and I decided to take advantage
of the sunshine, so we took a walk at Fort C.F. Smith Park here in Arlington
Co. Of the 36 species we tallied, 6 were new arrivals in the park this spring.
They were OSPREY, N. ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW, GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET, BLUE-GRAY
GNATCATCHER, EASTERN BLUEBIRD (1 female), and BROWN THRASHER. We had a pair
of swallows and one each of the other species.
