Gentle Readers,

Yesterday, on Watkins Road in Limeton, Virginia, which is a community on Route 
340 south of Front Royal, a Ruffed Grouse was seen walking on the verge of the 
road.  the red variant of this species was seen preening and walking stately.  
On occasion, it would raise its ruff.
