Hello birders,

First spring migrant of the year this morning - a Blue Gray
Gnatcatcher. Also in the yard were Ruby-crowned Kinglets and several
butterflies (Tiger Swallowtails, Spring Azures, Sulphur, Cabbage and
Angle Wing (, or ?).
The main flock of Purple Finches departed during the night with about a
half dozen remaining. Also ticked a new yard bird when a Common Loon
flew over quite low, apparentently on a landing approach to Lake
Orange.

Happy birding,

George Harris
Orange County
