Update on the now "not missing" Whooping Crane.
The 8 missing Whooping Crane, blown off course by last week's strong and
then flushed by careless homo sapiens were relocated yesterday.

Below was taken from International Crane Foundation web site:

Update provided by Joan Garland, Education Outreach Coordinator

Thanks to an aerial search by Windway, the group of eight was located
yesterday. With assistance of satellite (PTT) readings, the birds were
located after dark in a farm field in southwestern Ohio . All eight birds
were present, including the one which hit a powerline.

The other eight cranes from 2003 and 14-02 remain at Chassahowitzka
NWR. Three other cranes are also still in Florida--numbers 1-02, 3-02, and
15-02.
