[va-bird] No more crossbills in Roanoke

Well, it was a good run, but I think the crossbills have moved on. I've
been checking all morning but have not seen the red crossbills at all today.
I was afraid this would happen, because yesterday they stayed at the feeders
at least an hour later than ever before. I mentioned to my husband that I
hoped they weren't bulking up in preparation for heading out.

By observing coloration and which way their bills crossed (whether the top
crossed to the left or right of the bottom), we know we had at least 7
individuals. We will miss having them here, but we certainly do feel
privileged to have shared four days with them.
