[va-bird] Snipe at Huntley

On Sunday, I walked the hike/bike trail at Huntley right after the dawn
showers ended. It was cold and windy. Not many migrants were apparent: a
handful
of yellow-rumped and singing pine warblers, a few of both kinglets, and 4
phoebes. As I walked back by the Woodcock Meadow, a landed like a rock about
15
feet in front of my in the water-filled ditch by the side of the trail. We
both froze and studied each other for a few minutes, until a dog-walker flushed
the snipe. Neat.
Felt naked without my scope.
