About a dozen folks remembered to change their clocks and show up for
the Dyke Marsh birdwalk this morning. No mass of migrants, but a nice
walk nonetheless. We saw the three "expected" grebe species from the
boardwalk, and had great looks at blue-gray gnatcatcher, ruby-crowned
kinglet, Caspian tern, and brown thrasher. We saw 56 species in all.
Here is the complete list:

red-necked grebe - 2 in basic plumage
horned grebe - at least three, two in breeding plumage
double-crested cormorant

hooded merganser (1 prior to the walk)
