[va-bird] Fairfax Co., Alexandria 4/5/03

I started at Huntley Meadows, then headed up the Potomac and into
Alexandria. There seemed to be quite an influx of gnatcatchers.
Notables--
Huntley Meadows:
Blue-winged Teal - 2
Cooper's Hawk - 2
Pectoral Sandpiper - 5
Brown Creeper
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Dyke Marsh:
Horned Grebe - 4 (one of which was about halfway to breeding plumage)
Red-necked Grebe
Blue-winged Teal
Caspian Tern - 4
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Yellow-rumped Warbler ~ 20 (Belle Haven picnic area)
Washington Sailing Marina / Daingerfield Island:
Red-throated Loon
Red-necked Grebe - 3
Caspian Tern
Chipping Sparrow
Chinquapin Park:
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
