[va-bird] Spring morning in Charlottesville - No. Parula, etc.

Spring has finally arrived in the Piedmont.
Got a very early start this morning and made it out to Lake Albemarle, a
small fishing lake in a very quiet, serene setting, approximately 14 miles
west of Charlottesville, in search of an adult Osprey that has been
observed and photographed since Monday. (A second Osprey and an adult Bald
Eagle seen on two separate occasions this week were not seen.)
What a gorgeous morning and well worth the effort to trek out to the lake
before having to head into the office. If not I would have missed out on
an adult Red-shouldered Hawk calling across the lake, or the Towhee just a
few feet away, and the two drake Wood Duck accompanying a female. The
highlight was a Chipping Sparrow, Ruby-crowned Kinglet flashing a gorgeous
ruby cap, a squeaking Blue-gray Gnatcatcher that I managed to photograph,
and a singing Northern Parula, the season's first, all in the same small
shrub just a few feet away.
It was very difficult having to leave such a lovely spot but I managed to
make it to the office on time!
