[va-bird] Ruby-throated hum in Manassas

Hello VAbirders,

Lanny Chambers (of Journey North fame) posted on the Humnet listserv that a 
Ruby-throated hummer was sighted in Manassas, on April 4.  Lanny has a 
wonderful hummer website, with maps for following the migration progress of 
Ruby-throated hummingbirds.  It's a fun and informative website for 
everyone, including children.

The 4/4 sighting surprised me, since the first hum sighting in the northern 
Virginia area usually tends to be along the river.  My earliest FOD is 
4/22, so the Manassas hum can't help but make me hopeful for any earlier 
date this season.
