[va-bird] Golden Eagle, Lesser Black-Backed gull, Surry Co.

A Golden Eagle surprised me Saturday soaring fairly low over a field while I
was
turkey watching on small roads between the Scotland Ferry and Hog Island.
Perhaps the bird was a northward migrant looking for a good place to cross the
river. The breeding plumage Lesser Black-backed Gull was at its usual perch
on
the pilings just east of the ferry slip on the Scotland side.
