Visited Bear's Den Trail Center, then birded Blandy
Experimental Farm this morning. It was quiet at
Bear's Den, most noteworthy bird there was an EASTERN
PHOEBE.

At Blandy, there was more activity. Highlights were 4
TREE SWALLOWS, 3 EASTERN PHOEBES, variety of sparrows
incl. 1 FOX SPARROW in the woods, a couple of heard
AMERICAN PIPITS and a dozen RUSTY BLACKBIRDS feeding
in a wet area with blackbirds, robins and starlings.

No R.b. Nuthatches in either place. Blackbirds were
common.

A COMMON RAVEN was perched on a telephone pole on Rte.
340 S of Berryville.
