VA-Birders,

A trip to Chopawamsic Creek on the Quantico Marine Base, cancelled  
due to icy conditions last month, has been rescheduled as an e-trip  
on Tuesday, March 6 at 8:30 AM. Sandy Farkas and I will lead. The  
focus will be on wintering waterfowl, including Tundra Swans. This  
location is also good for Bald Eagles and views of a Great Blue Heron  
rookery which can be seen from the viewing platform. This will be a  
reservations only trip because parking is limited at the Wildlife  
Viewing Area. Depending on the size of the group, we will park at the  
site or at the parking lot of a McDonald's nearby from which we will  
carpool. Scopes are recommended, but the leaders will have their own  
to share.
