[va-bird] Purple Martin passing thru Augusta County

Hello all
This afternoon as I was checking out Quillen's for waterfowl . I noticed a
large Swallow flying & gleaning bugs off the water with about six Tree
Swallow's . After seeing the bird with my binoculars I quickly I D the bird as
a Purple Martin . Other birds are as follows .
Quillen's
Hooded Merganser -- 2
Purple Martin -- 1
Tree Swallow -- 6
McCune's
Gadwall -- 25
Am. Wigeon -- 9
Ring -- necked Duck -- 2
Lesser Scaup -- 2
Bufflehead -- 2
Ruddy Duck -- 3
Horned Grebe -- 1
Bells Lane
The Canada Goose numbers are down & I have not seen the Cackling Geese since
last Friday .
Gadwall -- 2
Shoveler -- 3
Hooded Merganser -- 26
Ruddy Duck -- 2
Coot -- 9
Boy Scout Camp
Wood Duck -- 23
Redhead -- 2
Lesser Scaup -- 3
