[va-bird] Fox Sparrow

Howdy VAbirders!

This morning brought us an encouraging sign, a Fox Sparrow. Watching the
beautiful bird do the sparrow dance in our yard once again felt good. Last
year, for the first time ever, we saw zero Fox Sparrows in our
garden. 2003 was the oddest year we've had yet with many of the usual
visitors absent but with quite a few new yardbirds. While new yardbirds
are always a treat, the absence of our "regular" migrants last year such as
Fox Sparrow caused me to worry a bit. I'm hoping during 2004 the
"regulars" come again, and even more new yardbirds join them!

Enjoy all your birdee visitors,
