[va-bird] Lake Anna

All,
I ran into both Fenton Day and Brenda Tekin this morning while looking
for the Pacific Loon at Lake Anna in both Louisa and Spotsylvania
Counties. Fenton and I were unsuccessful and Brenda was just beginning
to look when I had to leave at 12:30. We found many Common Loons but no
Red-throated or Pacific. No Red-necked Grebes either, dang it! Many,
many Horned Grebes though. The only waterfowl were 4 Lesser Scaup and
10-12 Northern Pintails (plus a few geese of course). I had never been
to this area before so it was fun just to get out and see some place
new. I did hear a singing phoebe, pine warbler, and meadowlark none of
which I have heard singing yet this year so that was nice.
