Folks-
I thought i would note our observations (VIMS, Gloucester Point) of a
few birds that have gotten attention on the list as Spring approaches. Not
sure if this is unusual or not, but the list attention for some of them
made me feel it was worth noting.

Present regularly at feeders thru winter:
Brown Thrasher (1)
Eastern Towhee (1)
Y-Rumped Warbler (1)
Chipping Sparrow (2; though absent for some time now)
Ruby-Crowned Kinglet (1; absent for some time now)
Downy W/pecker (1)
R-bellied W/pecker (1)
W-throated sparrows (~8)
Goldfinches (up to 18)
D-eyed Juncos (many)
Carolina wren (1)
Mourning Doves
House Finches
Blue Jays (3-4)
Cardinals (up to 12)
Chickadees (3-4)
Titmice (2-3)
Starlings (more abundant now)

Recent arrivals in larger numbers, but present in low numbers for few weeks
now:
Common Grackles (lots)
Song sparrows (3-4)
E. Bluebirds (3-4)
Robins
Mockingbirds

Recent arrival for first time:
Fox Sparrow (1)
Brown-Headed Cowbirds (lots)

** Tonight is the first night i have observed a major "roost" of blackbirds
here, but just outside the office is a congregation of 100s or 1000s of
cowbirds, grackles, starlings, and some r-w blackbirds.
