VA-Bird,
A warm, windless evening (Feb 29) for about 25 birders viewing the
SHORT-EARRED OWL show at Montresor Rd. At least four birds were active from
6:05 PM. To warm up the audience, several RED-TAILED HAWKS (that we tried,
unsuccessfully, to make into Rough-legged) and a N. HARRIER.
Great birds and nice company.
Catch the owls soon before they disperse. Directions to the site are in the
