[va-bird] Hummerade

Hello VAbirders,
This morning it was time for me to make fresh humnectar for the 2 feeders
I've got out. I mixed up a batch and left it on the counter to cool.
Later I filled my teacup with hot water, turned to the fridge to retrieve a
bit o' lemon to squirt into the cup, turned back to the counter and
"pppswiiittt," promptly squirted the lemon juice into the humnectar.
I stood there watching the lemon juice swirl through the nectar a moment
and then realized what I had done. Since I've never read anything about
hummingbirds prefering hummerade, I knew it was time to make another batch
of nectar.
Do other people do such things or is it only half-a-brain me? Egads!
BTW, get those humfeeders out of storage, the hummers are on their way!!
;-)
