Hi All
If you are looking for a place To Bird in the Tidewater Va. area try 
Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve It is in Porstmouth Va. A stone throw
from Craney Island. The Preserve has a variety of habitats, from a large
Lake to    meadows, marsh and  woodland trails. One of the woodland
trails is closed now 
for nesting Bald Eagles. that Ok oh , you can watch them on TV.
        Bald eagles living at Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve apparently
don't mind
the tiny video camera exposing their private lives.  Their nest now holds
three fresh eggs.  Saturday visitors to the preserve will enjoy a rare
opportunity to watch the eaglets hatch, grow, and finally fledge the
nest?on
TV!
         The camera, mounted on a limb above the nest, is connected to a
video
monitor at the preserve?s office. Since December, it has been providing
round-the-clock surveillance of life inside the nest.  The eggs began
appearing in late February and are expected to hatch within the next few
weeks.  This is the second consecutive year the couple has produced three
eggs. All three eggs made it I got to see all three bird flying over lake
with Mom or Dad?
Hoffler is open every Saturday (weather permitting) from 10:00 to 4:00
for eagle
viewing and self-guided tours.
Clark White and or I do guided  Bird walks on the first Saturday and
Second
Tuesday of each month. Special trips can be set up for groups
