[va-bird] Great Blue Heron in our backyard this afternoon

Hello all,
We had quite a surprise this afternoon. At 3:30 we happened to check our 
backyard for birds and--a huge surprise: A GREAT BLUE HERON was standing beside 
our small, and very frozen, backyard pond.

It stayed for about 20 minutes then walked across the yard and around the 
corner and out of sight.

After reading the post about how the cold weather is affecting the Brown 
Pelicans in the Tidewater area, I'm sure any Great Blues in this area are 
getting hard pressed to find food.
