Hola,
Sue Heath and I were at the Fauquier County landfill south of Warrenton for
a couple hours Saturday 3 Feb. Most notable birds we found here were two
first-winter Glaucous Gulls. There were also at least four adult Lesser
Black-backed Gulls, and at least one first-winter Lesser Black-backed. There
were a
few thousand gulls present, mostly Ring-billed, a couple hundred Herring
Gulls, and a few dozen Great Black-backeds. Two different Bald Eagles were
seen, along with a couple Red-tailed Hawks and lots of vultures. Pipits were
heard flying over at least twice.
Cheers,
Todd
