I was asked to post the following by Bill Seebeck who does not subscribe to
VA-Bird. Bill and his son have been doing research on Barred Owls and their
different calls in Loudoun County for the last four years or so.

>I finally got lucky enough to see the Snowy Owl at Dulles Airport this morning
>at 6:30 AM. I have been looking before and after work from the parking
>garage, upper level for the last three days, without seeing him. This morning
>he was on the light by the post office at the end of the service road toward
>the western north/south runway, just above the stop sign at the end of the
>road. Unfortunately, today I did not bring my video camera, but he was close
>enough to see well with binoculars. Planes were landing behind him, and I
>tried to see him from ground level, but the light was still on and too bright.
> Thank you for posting links to the great photos of the bird, as I only have
>them and the memory of what I saw.
>Good luck to you all.
