This morning (8:30-12:20) at Occoquan NWR:
Canada Goose, Gadwall (8-10), Am. Black Duck (2), Mallard, Gr.-winged Teal [6],
Lesser Scaup (>1000), Bufflehead (2), Ruddy Duck (1), No. Bobwhite [6], Gr.
Blue Heron, Turkey Vulture (4), Bald Eagle (5), N. Harrier (1-F), Cooper's
(1-F), Sharp-shinned (1-M), and Red Tail (1) Hawks, Ring-billed and Gr.
Black-backed Gulls, Red-bellied & Downy Woodpeckers, N. Flicker [8], Am. Crow,
Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, Carolina Wren, Golden-crowned Kinglet (2),
N. Mockingbird, Field, Savannah, Song, Swamp, and White-throated Sparrows, N.
Junco, N. Cardinal, Red-wing Blackbirds.
Most were seen before the wind kicked up around 11AM.
