My grandchildren (Madison, 9; Cameron, 6) were wonderfully excited by the
sight this morning of a full adult Bald Eagle circling at low level over King's
Park shopping centre, Burke, Fairfax County. I presume this is one of the
birds that frequent either Lake Accotink or Burke Lake, both of which are only
a
few miles away.
This is only the second Bald Eagle seen in my local patch - the previous
sighting was of a small group passing straight over, some years ago.
