I visited Kerr Reservoir in Mecklenburg Co=2E today=2E  Highlights were an=

adult RED-THROATED LOON at Palmer Point, a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH visiting =
a
feeder at the visitor's center, 5 FOX SPARROWS at North Bend Park and a
HOUSE WREN at Dick Cross WMA=2E  Ducks were pretty scarce=2E  I only saw s=
ome
MALLARDS, 1 GADWALL (male) and 5 LESSER SCAUP (4 males, 1 female)=2E  COMM=
ON
LOONS and HORNED GREBES were seen throughout the day=2E  There were 4 imm=2E=

HERRING GULLS mixed in with all the RING-BILLED and BONAPARTE'S GULLS near=

the dam=2E  Raptors included 3 RED-TAILED HAWKS, 4 imm=2E BALD EAGLES belo=
w the
dam and 1 female NORTHERN HARRIER at Clyde's Pond in the Dick Cross WMA=2E=
=20
At Tailrace Park, both RUBY-CROWNED and GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS as well as=

a BROWN-HEADED NUTHATCH were present=2E  Good birding=2E
