In the hopes of repeating our day in Gettysburg yesterday with daylight
flying Short eared Owls (30) and Rough legged Hawks, we went up to
Montressor Rd in Loudoun county this afternoon.
While no owls or rough leggeds were found, a number a good things were
around including the previously found Loggerhead Shrike and 2 Common Ravens.
Here is a list of highlights of the day:
Northern Harrier 2
Bald Eagle, 1 adult
Sharp shinned Hawk 1
Red tailed Hawk 12
American Kestrel 2
Merlin 1
Peregrine 1
Common Raven 2
Loggerhead Shrike 1
Eastern Meadowlark 4
Red winged Blackbird, 13 and singing.
