[va-bird] Raven thoughts?

Does anyone have any theories on why a pair of Ravens showed up at the
Occoquan NWR last weekend?
For those of you not familiar with the area, the NWR is along the Potomac
River in Northern VA. As far as I know, the closest reliable Raven spot it an
hour or so west of there towards Snickers Gap and the mountains. (Don't be
surprised if that last statement is wildly inaccurate(!), but the point is, I
don't ever remember hearing reports of them this far east)
I don't think they're on the park lists for Dyke Marsh or Huntley Meadows
which are 2 close parks that are very frequently birded.
It's not like this winter has been particularly hard (compared to last year
at least).
Any thoughts?
