VA-Birders,

Many people within the birding community have strong opinions on the 
topic of hunting. Perhaps it is best that discussions of the pros and 
cons of hunting be banned from this list. However, I think a 
straightforward announcement that the Virginia legislature is currently 
considering a bill allowing hunting on Sunday is very relevant and 
timely and is information that should be passed on to birders in this 
state.  Birders can then contact their representatives to express their 
views, whatever they happen to be. I believe such a message should be 
allowed. If a discussion ensues, then the owner of the list can break 
in and require that it cease.
