[va-bird] Sunday Hunting Bill

Greetings,
Not sure if it made it to this listserv, but there was a movement to permit
hunting on Sundays in Virginia.  I just received and email from my
state
Senator, Edd Houck, informing me that "both Sunday hunting bills failed in
committee."
If what has gone on in Maryland is any indication, this will not be the only
time this issue will come up.  Those of us that enjoy birding refuges
and
wildlife management areas on Sundays in winter will have to stay on top of
this thing.  One of my biggest concerns is the Christmas Bird
Counts. 
Some would be difficult to conduct if we didn't have a day where we weren't
in the woods with hunters.
