[va-bird] Short-eared Owls, Rough-legged Hawk - Frederick Co.

While scouting around for Horned Larks and Longspurs north of Winchester, BJ
and I came across some good raptors. The list follows:
Cooper's - 1
Red-tailed - 5
ROUGH-LEGGED - 1 (light phase)
Kestrel - 4
SHORT-EARED OWL - 2
Horned Lark - 75+
(no Longspurs nor Buntings)
The owls were hunting together and surprisingly, were right amongst a group of
houses, at one point flying right over the top of a
house.
Not bad for a 90 minute jaunt!
