We have found a new birding spot....easy to find and readily accessible.
It is the recently completed storm water run-off pond ... located at the
corner of 38th Street and Powhatan Ave. Within the past few days we
(Shirley Bolinaga, Margaret Mitchell and I ) have seen Shovelers, Hooded
Mergansers, a Double Crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Great Egret,
Mallards and many gulls. A great addition to this urban area.
