Andy Higgs led a group of 16 birders this morning, February 3, 2003, at
Huntley Meadows Park from 0700 to 0900. 33 species were observed in the
bright, cool, sunlight including a large Sharp-shinned Hawk that posed in the
trees beyond the Tower. The Central Pond was largely covered with ice, but
by 0900 the ice was vanishing in the warm sunshine.
