[va-bird] Barnacle Goose at Joseph Hensley Park

The "madness continues" is definately a true statement! I arrived at the
upper ballfield of Joseph Hensley park about 11:30 a.m. this morning, greeted
by about 15 or more birders. The Barnacle Goose, feeding with the Canadas,
gave great looks!

Having seen the article about the goose in the Metro section of the Sunday
Washington Post this morning, a non-birder came to see what all the
excitement was about. It was amazing how many birders tried to get their bins
off their neck for him to take a look!

Another highlight of my day was, after I left the site I had stopped briefly
along Eisenhower Ave to see what another birder may have found along Cameron
Run. A couple stopped behind me and excitedly asked me where the Barnacle
Goose was. I got back in my car and led them back to the site to make sure
they saw it! They were soooo happy!

Birders are a great bunch of people!
