[va-bird] Barnacle ahoy

A big thank you from me and Lisa to all the people who posted about the
Barnacle Goose. And special thanks to "Barney One" aka Kurt Gaskill for
alerting me to the goose's whereabouts while we were in Brenman Park looking
for it.
For what it's worth, tonight I looked on the new Alexandria quad US
Geological Survey map. I discovered that at the spot where Kurt, Tyler, me
and Lisa et al. were watching the goose in Cameron Run, the boundary between
the City of Alexandria and Fairfax County runs on the south shore of Cameron
Run, not through the center of the stream! The ADC map shows the same
boundary. What is it about Virginia's boundaries that defy common sense
expectations?
And I'm glad that Bev finally saw the goose!
