[va-bird] Gold Finch & Nyjer Seed

There are ten Gold Finch at my feeder today, up from the three or four I had
been getting. I recently read (in Bird Watcher's Digest I think) that
thistle seed, or nyjer, gets stale after about six months. I had been buying
big bags of nyjer seed to save money, but it took a while to go thru it. I
noticed that the thistle feeder was not being used much, so I bought some
fresh nyjer seed and now have a lot more Gold Finch! For what it's worth.
