[va-bird] Occoquan NWR

Hi,
This is a late report for January 1st. It was a beautiful day so I'll try
not to have regrets that I was driving past Occoquan Regional Park as others
were seeing the Brown-headed Nuthatch. The following birds were seen down

Turkey Vulture
Red-shouldered Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk
Peregrine Falcon
Bald Eagle
GB Heron
Bufflehead
Canada Geese
American Woodcock (heard only)
Flicker
Downy
Kingfisher
Cedar Waxwing
Cardinal
Carolina Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
N. Mockingbird (I saw it mewing like a Catbird - funny!)
Chickadee
Titmouse
Song, Field and White-throated Sparrows
American and Fish Crows
